First, I knew how mindblowingly beautiful it was.

I picked up Anno 1404 (Dawn of Discovery in the States) for two reasons. This gave me time to go back and play games I'd missed in the last couple years. When I finally built it, I realized a lot of those games wouldn't be out for a while. When I was younger, i was mostly a PC gamer, but started to gravitate more and more to consoles as I reached high school, as I loved JRPGs.Ī few months ago, I decided to build a rig, as there were quite a few games coming out for PC that I REALLY wanted to play. I stuck to console games, and it worked out for the most part. It would be the first time I would use a laptop over a desktop.

After I graduated, I got a job in Japan, and elected to go with a midrange laptop for simplicity's sake. The last time I built a gaming PC was for Doom 3, back when I was in college. I've been out of PC gaming for a few years now.
