In Device Manager, check Network Adapters for an entry for Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000.

Manually reboot your computer, keeping Internet access disabled.

When prompted, choose to "Discard Settings".

Uninstall each instance of Intel PROSet/Wireless Software and Intel Wireless Bluetooth that is present.

From Apps & Features, check for instances of Intel PROSet/Wireless Software and Intel Wireless Bluetooth.

Unplug Ethernet cable and/or disable wireless.

Download the Wireless driver package onto the PC.
